For more than twenty years, Edward Krugman has been achieving optimal outcomes for clients in cases involving antitrust and unfair competition, employment discrimination, intellectual property (trademark, copyright, trade secret and restrictive covenant) issues, and general contract and business disputes.
Chosen as a Georgia “SuperLawyer” by Law & Politics Media and Atlanta Magazine for 2004 and 2005, Edward represents both plaintiffs and defendants in his practice. Some of Edward's recent notable victories include the following: Winning a defendant's jury verdict in a breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty action seeking over $100 million in damages; Winning summary judgment in favor of a defendant charged with price fixing in a major antitrust class action; Successfully defending a public company and two employees hired from a competitor against claims for theft of trade secrets filed in three different jurisdictions; and obtaining a nine-figure settlement for a plaintiff in a breach of contract action.
Edward is a frequent lecturer on trial practice and corporate litigation issues, and has written numerous articles on business litigation issues such as covenants not to compete, internal corporate investigations to discover potential wrongdoing within a corporation, justice department attacks on most favored nation clauses, and avoiding sexual harassment and other discrimination claims. He is also a contributing author to the 2004 Annual Review of Antitrust Law Developments to be published by the Antitrust Section of the American Bar Association. For the last 13 years, Edward has taught on the faculty for the Trial Advocacy program at Emory Law School.
