Jason Carter has successfully represented clients in high stakes trial and appellate business litigation including business torts, class actions, and other complex commercial cases.
In December of 2008, Jason represented David McDavid in obtaining a $281 million jury verdict against Turner Broadcasting System (TBS) for breaching an agreement to sell McDavid the Atlanta Hawks, the Atlanta Thrashers and the operating rights to Philips Arena. The jury verdict is one of the largest compensatory damage awards in Georgia history.
Jason has twice been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Law & Politics and Atlanta magazine, a listing of the top up-and-coming attorneys in Georgia.
On February 25, 2009, the Anti-Defamation League presented Jason with the the Stuart Eizenstat Young Lawyer Award in recognition of Jason’s “commitment to seek justice and fair treatment for all people.”
Prior to joining the firm, Jason served as a law clerk for the Honorable Frank Mays Hull on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
