John Rains represents both plaintiffs and defendants in complex business litigation.  His experience includes cases involving business torts, intellectual property, and professional liability.

John graduated magna cum laude from the University of Florida’s law school, where he was the lead Articles editor of the Florida Law Review and was also a member of the moot court board.  During law school, John won the University of Florida’s intramural moot court competition, capturing the awards for Best Oralist, Best Brief, Best Overall Competitor, and Best Team.  John and his teammate also participated in and won the 2006 Florida-Georgia moot court competition, held in conjunction with the schools’ annual football game in Jacksonville, Florida. 

After graduating from law school, John served as a law clerk to the Honorable Ed Carnes of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

John is admitted to practice before all state courts in Georgia and Florida, and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
