John Floyd was the Co-Chair of the Corporate Internal Investigations ICLE Seminar on March 20, 2009 at the State Bar of Georgia Headquarters. Ben Fox spoke at the event in a panel discussion about preparing and conducting interviews.

Ben Fox gave a presentation titled "Plantiffs’ and Defendants’ Approaches to Sarbanes-Oxley Claims" at ICLE’s Annual Whistleblower Law Symposium on March 4, 2009

Randi Schnell and Alison Prout spoke at Emory Law’s Legal Association of Women Students (LAWS) Biennial Conference on Feb. 21 at Gambrell Hall in the Emory University Law School. Randi spoke in a panel discussion titled “Path to Partnership” and Alison spoke in a panel discussion titled “Flex-Time and Part-Time Work Arrangements.”

Ronan Doherty was the Program Chair for the ICLE's Georgia Appellate Practice seminar on Feb. 27 at the State Bar of Georgia Headquarters. Other BME attorneys who spoke at the seminar were Sarah Shalf, Darren Summerville, Frank Lowrey and Mike Terry.

On December 18, 2008 John Floyd spoke on State False Claims Statutes at a seminar on Health Care Fraud, sponsored by the Georgia Institute of Continuing Legal Education.

On November 21, 2008 John Floyd moderated a panel on Civil Proceedings and The Fifth Amendment at a seminar entitled Criminal Law for Non-Criminal Lawyers, sponsored by the Georgia Institute for Continuing Education.

Frank Lowrey spoke at the Antitrust Law Basics ICLE seminar on November 13, 2008 at the State Bar headquarters in Atlanta, GA. The title of the presentation was "Civil Litigation: Drafting a Well-Pleaded Complaint."

On November 17, 2008 John Floyd gave a presentation to the DeKalb County District Attorney's Office on RICO prosecutions.

Ronan Doherty moderated a panel discussion at the Eleventh Circuit Appellate Practice Institute ICLE seminar on October 24 at the State Bar of Georgia Headquarters. The title of the presentation was "Writing the Winning Brief."

Darren Summerville spoke on a panel discussion for Georgia State Law Students on October 23 at the GSU campus. The presentation was on how law students can prepare for the business side of practicing law.

Jay Elmore Chaired the Georgia Class Actions ICLE seminar on Friday, Oct. 3 at the State Bar of Georgia Headquarters. Mike Terry gave a presentation at the event on "Class Action Discovery" and Tanya Reed gave a presentation on "The Effective Use of Paralegals in Class Action Litigation."

Darren Summerville spoke at the GTLA’s “Unique and Rare Claims” Workshop on August 20.

Mike Terry hosted the Atlanta Bar Litigation Section Annual Bench and Bar Meeting at the offices of Nelson Mullins on May 29 from 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM.

Frank Lowrey, Randi Engel Schnell and Von A. DuBose gave a presentation titled "Challenging Conventional Wisdom in the Defense of Complex Litigation" to the Georgia Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel on June 10, 2008.

Jill Pryor spoke on May 8, 2008 at the Women in the Legal Profession Summit: Rainmaking, Negotiating and Collaborative Development in the Atlantic Station Building on how to transition from associate to partner.

Edward Krugman spoke at a CLE lunch titled "If Only You’d Asked: The Litigator’s Perspective On Drafting Intellectual Property Agreements" on April 22, 2008 at Atlantic Center Plaza, 1180 W. Peachtree St., 15th Floor, Room 15016

John Floyd Co-Chaired of the Corporate Internal Investigations ICLE Seminar on March 19, 2008 at the State Bar of Georgia Headquarters.

Jeff Bramlett spoke at the ICLE Seminar titled Trial and Error - Advice on Becoming a Good Lawyer and Avoiding Rookie Mistakes on March 5, 2008 at the State Bar of Georgia Headquarters. He will be speaking to the Young Lawyers Division - Litigation Committee on effectively taking depositions.

Jill Pryor chaired the Georgia Appellate Practice seminar on Feb. 29. Ronan Doherty co-chaired and spoke on appellate jurisdiction at the event. Jeff Bramlett also spoke on professionalism in appellate advocacy.

Emmet Bondurant spoke at The 2008 Robert S. Vance Forum on the Bill of Rights on Voter ID Laws: Preventing Fraud or Promoting Disenfranchisement? The event will be held at the Emory University School of Law Tull Auditorium on February 25, 2008 at 7:00 PM.

On February 19, 2008 Darren Summerville spoke at the Medical Records Law seminar in Macon, GA.

On Feb. 5, Jill Pryor spoke to the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers and Sisters in Law groups about the Kellett trial.

On Feb. 6, Jill Pryor and John Floyd presented a seminar on RICO to the Fulton County Business Court judges and staff.  This RICO seminar is part of a series put on by the newly formed Business Litigation Committee of the Business Law Section of the State Bar. 

On Feb. 1, 2008, Frank Lowrey spoke at the State Bar CLE seminar on Antitrust Developments at the State Bar of Georgia Headquarters.

On November 9, 2007 John Floyd was the Program Chair for the ICLE RICO Seminar. Ben Fox spoke at the program on Pretrial Proceedings: Strategic Use of Motions and Discovery in Civil Rico Cases.

On November 16, 2007 John Floyd spoke at the 11th Annual Corporate and Business Organization Litigation Seminar at the Westin Buckhead Hotel in Atlanta, GA

On October 12, 2007 Jay Elmore was the Program Chair of the ICLE Class Action Seminar. Partner Mike Terry spoke at the event on Class Action Arbitrations.

On September 20, 2007 John Floyd spoke at the National College of District Attorneys - White Collar Crime Course about RICO Prosecutions in San Francisco, CA.

On June 1, 2007, John Floyd spoke to the National Association of Attorneys General on the creative uses of state RICO statutes.

On March 16, 2007, John Floyd Co-chaired a seminar on Corporate Internal Investigations at the State Bar Headquarters.  John also spoke on the subject of "What is an Internal Investigation?: Defining the Scope and Purpose of the Engagement."

On March 2, 2007, Jill Pryor chaired the "Georgia Appellate Practice" seminar.

On January 4, 2007, Jeff Bramlett and Corey Hirokawa spoke on the topic of shareholder derivative actions to the Georgia Superior Court Judges' Business Court Program.

On December 8, 2006, Jill Pryor gave a talk entitled "Accountants in Lawsuits" to the accounting firm of Frazier & Deeter, LLC.

On October 27th, 2006, Jill Pryor will speak as part of a panel on "Ethics and Professionalism on Appeal" as part of the first ever Eleventh Circuit Appellate Practice Institute.  The Institute takes place at the State Bar headquarters in Atlanta.

On October 5th, 2006, Emmet Bondurant will speak on Supreme Court's landmark ruling on presidential power in Hamdan v. Rumsfeld and on the Guantanamo Bay situation at the 13th Annual Supreme Court Update sponsored by the State Bar of Georgia.  This event takes place at the State Bar headquarters in Atlanta.

On September 14, 2006, Emmet Bondurant participated in a panel entitled "Fixing Michigan's Broken Public Defense System" at the annual meeting of the Michigan State Bar.

On September 8, 2006, John Floyd particpated in a panel entitled "False Claims and Developments - Federal and State."  The panel was a part of the Southeastern Health Care Fraud Institute sponsored by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education.

In June 2006 Jill Pryor spoke on a panel for the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers entitled "Nanny 911" (about the pros and cons of different childcare options for lawyer parents).

On March 16, 2006 John Floyd spoke on RICO Prosecutions as part of the National College of District Attorneys’ White Collar Crime course in Washington, D.C

In March 2006, Jill Pryor chaired the Georgia Appellate Practice seminar.

On January 28, 2006, Emmet Bondurant participated in a panel entitled "Economic Development and Eminent Domain: Public/Private, Open/Closed?" as part of the 15th Annual Geogia Bar Media & Judiciary Conference.  The conference took place at the J.W. Marriott Hotel Buckhead in Atlanta.

On December 9, 2005, John Floyd spoke on the topic of "Identifying RICO - It may be in your office" at the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association's 2005 Holiday Seminar. 

John Floyd chaired a seminar on RICO, sponsored by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education on Friday, November 4, 2005 at the State Bar of Georgia Conference Center. Ben Fox spoke on "Pretrial Proceedings: RICO Motions and Discovery Issues."

On October 20, 2005, Jeffrey Bramlett presided over a seminar entitled Civil Justice Reform in Georgia: A Practioner's Guide to the 2005 Tort Reform Act Changes Enacted by the General Assembly.  Mike Terry spoke on Practical Advice on Venue Under SB3.  The seminar was sponsored by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and took place at  the State Bar of Georgia Conference Center in Atlanta.

On October 7, 2005, Jay Elmore chaired his annual class actions seminar, sponsored by ICLE.  This seminar featured attorneys practicing throughout the state of Georgia, speaking on current topics in federal and state class action practice, including presentations by Jill Pryor on the recent changes to Georgia's class action statute and by Frank Lowrey on class certification in cases involving statutory penalties.

Darren Summerville has recently presented materials on entity depositions under the Civil Practice Act, or “30(b)(6) depositions.”   These presentations included the Georgia Trial Lawyer’s Association annual Civil Discovery Seminar, held on August 18, 2005, and an Atlanta Bar Association seminar on April 26, 2005.  

John Floyd spoke on "Pleading a Civil RICO Case" at the Institute of Continuing Legal Education in Georgia's Seminar on Complex Civil Procedure.  This seminar took place on Friday, March 25, 2005, at the Westin Buckhead Hotel, 3391 Peachtree Road in Atlanta. 

On Friday, March 4, 2005, Steven Rosenwasser spoke at an ICLE Seminar on the topic of Managing Electronic Discovery. The seminar took place at the Marriott Gwinnett Place Hotel in Duluth.

On Thursday, March 3, 2005, Jill Pryor chaired the Georgia Appellate Practice seminar sponsored by ICLE of Georgia.

On February 17, 2005, John Floyd spoke in Tucson, Arizona on the use of RICO at a course on White Collar Crime conducted by the National College of District Attorneys.  This is the fourth time that John has been a faculty member for the NCDA's white collar crime course.

Darren Summerville was invited to testify before the Advisory Committee on Civil Rules as to proposed amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.  On January 28, 2005, Mr. Summerville testified before the Advisory Committee regarding proposed Rules governing electronic discovery

On Friday, January 14, 2005, Frank Lowery appeared on the Institute of Continuing Legal Education in Georgia's statewide satellite rebroadcast of the Trial Advocacy seminar. Frank spoke on "Appeals for the Trial Lawyer".

On Friday, December 17, 2004, Steven Rosenwasser participated in a panel on Managing Electronic Discovery and Preventing Spoliation. The panel is part of the 34th Annual Labor and Employment Law Institute sponsored by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education in Georgia and the Labor & Employment Law Section of the Atlanta Bar Association. This event was held at the Westin Buckhead Hotel, 3391 Peachtree Rd. NE in Atlanta.

M. Jerome Elmore was Program Chair of the ICLE of Georgia Class Actions Seminar. The seminar took place on Thursday, October 14, 2004, at the Sheraton Colony Square Hotel in Atlanta. Also in Atlanta, Josh Thorpe presented "Representative Actions Under State Law" and Mike Terry spoke on "Variations in Approach to Class Certifications by the Federal Appellate Courts."

On April 16, 2004, Jill Pryor spoke at the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers Leadership Training Seminar. Jill spoke on "Effective Community Leadership" on a panel moderated by Hon. Wendy L. Shoob, Judge, Superior Court of Fulton County.

On April 8, 2004, John E. Floyd spoke in Boston, Massachusetts on recognizing and making effective use of RICO at a course on white collar crime conducted by the National College of District Attorneys.

On November 21, 2003, Edward Krugman spoke at the Seventh Annual ICLE Corporate Litigation Seminar on the subject of claims for contribution among corporate officers, directors and professionals, settlement bars and judgment reduction.

On Thursday, October 16, 2003 at 8:30 a.m., Jeffrey O. Bramlett was part of a panel entitled "Lessons Learned: Implementing Good Practices and Governance After Sarbanes-Oxley" at ICLE's Business Law Institute. The Institute is co-sponsored by the State Bar of Georgia's Business Law Section and took place at the Swissotel, 3391 Peachtree Rd. NE in Atlanta.

On Friday, September 5, 2003, John E. Floyd spoke at the Georgia Institute of Continuing Legal Education's seminar on Corporate Internal Investigations on the topic of dealing with whistle blowers. John was a co-chair of this seminar.

On June 19, 2003, John E. Floyd spoke to the offices of Attorney General of the United States Virgin Islands and the United States Attorney for the Virgin Islands concerning the use of the Virgin Islands' verion of the federal RICO statute, CICO.
