The attorneys of Bondurant, Mixson & Elmore, LLP have extensive experience in environmental litigation of many types, including class actions.

The firm’s extensive experience includes handling environmental cases asserting claims of trespass, nuisance, negligence and negligence per se, and cases seeking damages for personal injury, property damage and injunctive relief. The firm also has experience handling insurance coverage litigation in the environmental field.

Bondurant, Mixson & Elmore, LLP has particular experience in handling complex multiparty and multidistrict civil litigation. In recent years, for example, we have represented both plaintiffs and defendants in class actions, and represented defendants in cases pending before the Multi-District Panel. Currently, the firm is representing a putative class of approximately 1000 homeowners seeking damages resulting from a nearby plant’s alleged improper release of chemicals and contamination of groundwater.

M. Jerome Elmore, one of the founding partners of the firm, has been actively practicing in the area of environmental litigation for many years, as has his partner, Michael B. Terry. Mr. Terry and Mr. Elmore are actively involved in the ABA Section of Natural Resources, Energy and Environmental Law and the Environmental Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia. They regularly lecture on topics relating to environmental litigation, environmental insurance coverage and the successful management and defense of complex litigation at CLE programs.
